Mountain Lake is pleased to be the presenting station for Causing Pain: Real Stories of Dating Abuse and Violence. This 30-minute video contains true stories of teens, parents, and professionals who have been in or witnessed abusive relationships. They describe their experiences and insights so that teens and parents can recognize and prevent dating abuse in their own lives or in the lives of their friends.
This video is a winner of two FREDDIE Awards. It received honors in both the behavioral diseases category and received the prestigious Helen Hayes Award of Distinction, recognizing the finest educational entry of 2006. The FREDDIEs, also known as the International Health and Medical Media Awards, bring together the fields of medical science, education, and the arts for an international competition devoted to educational health and medical productions.
The 13-minute Causing Pain video is targeted more for teens, and provides information about dating abuse and its consequences, and ways to prevent it in their own lives and the lives of their friends. A video discussion guide is also available for teachers and other concerned adults to use with teens.

- Click the link for "Download". The window for Windows Media Player will open. Select "File" on the top navigation bar, and select "Save As". You can then save the video under any location on your computer.
